As a Store manager, you’ll contribute to our success by building and leading a team to create and maintain an exceptional store experience for every guest. The majority of time will be spent coaching, supervising and directing the team; making operational and staffing decisions while ensuring excellent customer service. Contributions:
- Oversees daily store operations, supervise employees and manage inventory.
- Ensures sufficient staffing levels to meet the needs of our guests.
- Develops successful sales plans to grow profitability.
- Recruits, trains, develops and motivates employees to meet daily and annual goals.
- Demonstrates leadership and teamwork-oriented environment by setting high standards and modeling said behavior.
- Exhibits strong interpersonal skills including ability to adapt to change.
- Oversees inventory management which includes managing relationships with vendors.
- Creates exciting merchandising strategies to introduce and promote products to our customers.
- Ensures product mix and inventory levels are properly maintained to increase sales and control inventory.
- Maintains safety and security of the store, properly documenting any incidents that occur.
- Responsible for ensuring personnel/payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately, on time and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal laws within the scope of the store operation.
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma/GED or 2-3 years of college or military experience.
- Prior successful food service, retail, grocery management experience.
- Demonstrated effective training, coaching and conflict resolution skills.
- Highly motivated with a desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Results oriented team player/leader.
- Ability to create a work schedule, and build a team to cover the other store hours. This role is likely to also be on-call to ensure the coverage at the store
- Exhibits professionalism in appearance, conduct and judgment.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Physically able to engage in repetitive movements reaching shelves of varying heights.
- Able to move from a bent position to standing position to unpack boxes.
- Ability to safely lift boxes that weigh in excess of 30 pounds.
- Comfortable and able to safely stand and climb ladders in small places.
